Catholic Community Hospice is looking for a Community & Parish Relations Representative to successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience marketing hospice or home health.  This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, parishes and referral sources. Responsible for responding to customer requests and concerns. EEO


1. Assists the Vice President of Program Operations & Healthcare Services in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget and in establishing allocations for the marketing department. Monitors allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.

2. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.

3. Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.

4. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.

5. Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of CATHOLIC COMMUNITY HOSPICE as a high quality provider of services.

6. Provides leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.

7. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of CATHOLIC COMMUNITY HOSPICE markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor's market positioning.

8. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.

9. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by CATHOLIC COMMUNITY HOSPICE.

10. Monitors and reports cost effectiveness of marketing efforts.

1. Bachelor's degree, required. Education in Marketing, Business Administration, Social Services, or related fields preferred.

2. 1-2 years' experience marketing hospice or home health services required.

3. Comfortable liaising with parishes and priests, as well as non-Catholic, faith-based organizations, physicians, hospitals, and facilities.

4. Knowledge and understanding of the ERDs strongly preferred.
